Story already posted here before. And ALL airlines will be doing it soon, if not already. Dream on, if you think that they will deliberately continue to fly 1/3 empty planes. They can't afford to.

Dont see how blocking middle seat would make a difference anyway. You're still to close to begin with if only a width of a seat separating you or in an aisle seat and people walking by you boarding or going to restroom. If you think it's not healthy then don't fly.

Doesn’t bother me. 85% or 100% , block middle seat or not makes little difference. Mask up , take your precautions and relax or stay home possibly forever . EZ.

Scubaman--that's true. Not sure why the story about AA is making such news, as United has already been doing it. According to the CEO of United "social distancing doesn't exist on a plane". And he's correct.

We will all probably be okay with or without middle seat blocked. Just wear depends and avoid plane bathroom at all cost.
