Jet Blue is almost there!!
Wonder if they will do the water spray?
And American is on it's way too.
Sunset cam working for me.
They did. Winair pilot go jealous and asked when they get theirs. ATC said they need a clean airplane.
Love the water bath!! Wish we were there. Please don't say mean things.
I think it just arrived....the conversation between the flight crew and the ground crew and spraying the plane with clorox has been entertaining. We would have been on the Jet Blue return flight home today.
Yes. I thought you were going back on it?
I few out on the flight, and yes, they did the water spray. The outgoing flight was maybe a quarter filled; all protocalls observed, and it was a smooth flight to JFK (and the BOS, for me).
Great news Wendy! Glad you are home safe and sound. Were there any protocols, other than masks etc, you had to go through to enter US?
Not really. We scanned our own boarding passes prior to boarding; were told to observe the floor markings to keep proper distance. We borded from the back to front of the plane.
Jet Blue served a plastic package with a small bottle of water and a small bag of cookies; no other food or beverage service to minimize personal contact.
PJIA was very well organized with security screening, etc. I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Jet Blue was gone before when the other flights came in, for which I was grateful!
MA now requires a negative PCR test within 72-hours before arrival, or a 14-day quarantine. Travelers from Northeast states are exempt.
https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-travel-order
Most states have 14 day quarantine for out of state visitors that come from states that have high numbers of infected.
International flights as well. 😷
I filled out a Travel form for MA online before I left SXM agreeing to self-quarantine for 14 days unless I was coming from several NE states which are low risk. If I test negative for the virus, I do not have to quarantine. There was no rule about having the test prior to arrival when I completed the form on Friday, and no one was checking at the airport last night when I arived.
I intend to make some calls tomorrow to see about getting the test where I can get the results in less than 14 days. If this is possible, I will do so; otherwise, I will quarantine. My PCP will only order a test with quick results if I have symptoms - which I do not.
No one checked anything when I went through Customs and Immigration at JFK, Elaine. And no one checked anything at Logan either.
So anyone can just come into the US no problem?
Makes sense,....as WE are the problem!
Two places to start looking for a test site in MA are 1)

If you're in Falmouth, the CVS in E. Falmouth may be what you're looking for.
