French border crossing update - 08/10/2020 04:52 PM

From Gov site
"Covid-19 Update - St. Martin
Covid-19 certificates for border crossing
Due to the increase in Covid-19 cases in St. Martin (French side), the Prefecture will no longer grant temporarily professional certificates for people who need to cross from French side-Dutch side or Dutch side-French side.
Medical certificates will continue to be issued based on compelling and urgent grounds, upon submission of supporting documents."

Yet they were allowing Americans with a passport and negative test results to just pop over?!!!

They also allowed those on bikes or on foot to cross. Makes absolutely no sense. frown

Are there that many on island now that will go on an ATV tour? It's usually a tourist event.

Don’t forget, Scuba, there are tourists from other countries on the island........ even if not too many Americans yet.

I don't know what 'professional certificates' are, unless they mean for work? As others have said, are they still allowing tourists to cross the border? Makes no sense..
