Saliva Test - 08/17/2020 01:01 PM

This test has been approved by the FDA. It provides quicker results; I wonder if SXM will start allowing it? Sure would be nice. Still hoping for November....

I read that article. They stay this Yale saliva test will be a big game changer. As accurate as the nasal swab test ,results in a few hours , widely available and around $10 a test. Should start being available in a few more weeks. Lots of time still until winter high season and hopefully traveling internationally will become less and less risky and Reasonably doable. We are on for mid November fingers crossed.

Article I read stated it isn't as reliable as the deep nasal swab test but could be a game changer.

And the deep nasal swab is now found to not be as accurate as initially thought.

My son just got the saliva test sent to him before he goes back to school. Your right. Could be a game changer.

Does it have to be witnessed via Video chat by a qualified nurse?

As I mentioned 3 weeks ago, the University of Wsiconsin Health started the saliva testing and have found it very accurate.

NBA is doing a study with saliva and nasal swab testing to compare accuracy.

Amazing that professional ball players get tested daily and the common citizen has to jump through hoops to get tested.

Uhmn, money.. If you want to pay enough money, you can get tested every day also.

I believe that is the NBA that has funded the studies for the saliva test

So he’s reading it now. Has to do it via zoom with a nurse. He right now is more puzzled by the envelope that he has to mail it back in that is at least 12x14 but the test is like 3 inches!!!!

Sounds great. I suggest boeing/airbus/airlines and the govts go all in and make avail at origin, connection and destination airports.

The dividends will be huge to all involved to decrease the odds of spread through air travel.
