Maybe they could postpone these events until the fall (maybe late October or November near the end of hurricane season). We did that here in the states with the Masters golf tournament and it turned out okay despite earlier darkness. Outdoors are better than indoors, but not if people are within too close of proximity of one another for any length of time. By the fall I would hope that the vaccine(s) will have been administered to bulk of the island's population.

What was stated yesterday at the presser by some local politicians, it appears the actual race itself will take place but with no parties or gatherings.

I assume they mean no formal parties, as I can't see that they would be able to stop the informal gathering of sailors before and after the races..
