Adventure of the Sea just left.

And then there were none ...

..and they they're back...at least three of them. They wander around in the evening and some eventually return ("Destination SXM" when they leave)

Adventure of the Seas has been parked right in front of SBR since last night...the other two are on the move

Edit: ..and two more in the distance heading back to SXM so we're back to five so far

Must really make those merchants in Philipsburg sad to see them in port with no passengers on board to spend money.

it is kinda weird to see two behemoths sitting right in front of SBR...I've seen them pass by a gazillion times but never just sitting there

..and an unrelated note not worthy of a new post...I forgot to mention Roman A's 767 "The Bandit" returned a few days ago after a very short departure. Probably sent to pick up a friend....helicopter took off a tad after arrival

...and I miss the parade of the big yachts into/out of the lagoon. Best there is now is maybe two...if the bridge even opens at all

..and we went to Fat Tony's yesterday and had ribs....nice vibe, sleepy dogs, a few chickens and a cat but the ribs were lame. Tasted old...very friendly staff though.

That helicopter is not permitted to land on his yacht, per St Barth regulations (no helicopters are permitted to land on or takeoff from yachts while they are in St Barth waters). It would have landed at the airport, and the passengers would have been shuttled between the airport and a launch to the yacht.

For those interested in such things, a realtime St Barth airport webcam can be found at https://st-barth.com/livecam6.html or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7g6EGROduB4 You can see most landings from the usual approach to Runway 10, "over the hill", but not landings on Runway 28, "over the beach".
