Watch your air this summer!!!!

As was posted here, Celebrity is home porting a ship in Sint Maarten for June, July and August this year. I ASSUMED that they would be doing charter air. Ok, you can bowl me over with a feather, but they are not. The ship holds 2,000 at full capacity, but I don't know how many pax they actually are going to take, but at even 50%, that's still 1,000 extra people. Now, some will come in a day or two before or stay a day or two after, but many will come and go on a Saturday. ...along with virtually all timeshare folks... Juliana is going to be a MADHOUSE on Saturdays. SOOO, if I were someone with any kind of flexibility in my travel dates, I would try REALLY hard to not fly in and out of Juliana on a Saturday this summer.

We're flying in/out on Saturday the last week of May. I feel like we really dodged a bullet! MADHOUSE is a great word for it.

We fly in on a Saturday in May. After 4 weeks leaving on a Friday June 4th day before those cruises start. Lucked out.

We are Saturday to Saturday in July because Saturday is the only day that AA is doing the non-stop from DFW.

Well, best wishes. You can expect that PJIA will be an absolute disaster area. Thinking back on it now, my feeling is that AA knew that Celebrity was going to be doing these cruises, and that's why they started those non-stop flights, and during the summer only.
