Day 1 - 04/25/2021 09:26 PM

Our plane arrived early and it took a minutes to find Lesley but once we did everything was good. A quick stop at Zee Best where we bought pastries and yummy baguette Italian subs then straight to The Belair. Got checked in and situated in our ground floor room, ate lunch, grabbed some beers from the mini-mart and hit the beach. How do spell relief, ah, such beautiful water. Within a couple of hours though we were feeling rather exhausted and went early to bed.

I know what you're talking about feeling tired after your flights. We do the redeye out of Seattle and it's a long trek to get to St Maarten. Always worth it.

It's always such a relief to just ARRIVE, especially after all the hoops you have to go through these days.

Enjoy!

Decided to save 30,000 points by flying out of JFK instead of Boston which was a big mistake. The traffic was unbearable. Took longer to get from Southern VT to JFK than JFK to SXM! Wonderful to be here....Sit by the pool, drink pina coladas and a very early dinner. Off to bed and off to Hope Estates in a.m. for antigen test...yes, we are staying on the French side.

Welcome to CT. traffic. Monday-Friday you must thru Bridgeport by 6am or your in trouble. By 7am you could b a 15-20 mile backup. Weekends are better but, by mid morning the backup is there.

Unfortunately our daughter had to cancel. We did get to see her face-to-face on Friday for the first time in over a year. So sad but she's a trooper and learned a lesson too.
