Covid Results - 09/25/2021 01:08 PM

Does this look like an acceptable
Report for EHAS?

The lab and results are there.
Results were back in a day.

It does not include the collection source, it could be rejected for that reason.

The collection source would be the Westport Urgent Care, wouldn’t it?

Re: Covid Results - 09/25/2021 02:52 PM

I did not see it on there, but part of your image is cut off but "source of the swab" and "result date" don't seem to appear in your image. Both are reasons that they can deny your EHAS application and both are specifically listed in the guidelines. You can submit the results and see if they are accepted since there seems to be a fairly wide variance in what the accept, but if you get a denial than you have an idea of what may be the problem.

Looks complete to me. Lab and collection date all there with negative result. Go for it after you convert it to a pdf.

I have the Source and the date collected, so if I had submitted it the next day, that date would be obvious---right.
Everything shows on my screen.

Scubaman, It was taken for a medical reason, so I didn't want to submit it, as a test, and have to pay the medical insurance. ???

The way it was posted it looked like you were ready to submit for a trip now.

Pre-insurance, I've submitted tests to find out how the process works. I don't know at which point in the process the insurance requirement kicks in, but I would be happy to dispute any charge with my credit card company for services which are never delivered.

Re: Covid Results - 09/26/2021 12:18 PM

No, the collection source is where the sample was taken from; ie., Nose, mouth, blood etc....

Insurance charges don't take place until you get approval and approval won't happen unless you submit with insurance payment method.

Not ready to leave yet, but had to get a test, so I thought I'd run it by everyone to see what they thought.
I will have to do it again soon, and wanted to make sure.

Hi,

There are certain things that the reviewers are looking for on the submission and those items are spelled out in their requirements. If it was me submitting, I would make sure that every one of those items is listed and that I met the basics of what they are asking you to show.

These reviewers have a checklist of items that they need to see, if it's not there than your likelihood of getting rejected rises significantly. If they are looking for "collection source" and your report shows nothing, than I would think that it is most likely going to get rejected. If your report shows nose swab under "collection source" than that drastically increases your chance of acceptance by the reviewer, even though it doesn't say NasoPharyngeal Swab. This is where the discretion/judgement of the reviewer comes into play.

The following is taken right from the Sint Maarten EHAS site:

"The original test result to be uploaded as part of EHAS application procedure must clearly specify the name of the laboratory or clinic, full name of test subject, type of test administered, name of antigen test, swab date, source of the swab, result date and a negative result. Non-compliant test results, hand written or e-mail statements from doctors will not be accepted."

Items: (list taken from site/quote above)
1). Name of Laboratory or clinic
2). Full name of test subject
3). Type of test administered (if Antigen test than it's specific name)
4). Swab date
5). Source of the swab (collection source)
6). Result date
7). NEGATIVE results

As you can see, they are looking for very specific information, if it's not there(non-compliant test result), or handwritten in, than you drastically increase your chance of rejection. If something is missing, get it corrected beforehand to greatly increase your odds of acceptance.

From the sample report you posted earlier, I did not see the "source of the swab" or "result date" listed. Both are on the list of items that they are specifically looking for, if it's not there you stand a decent chance of the submission not getting accepted. Nothing is set in stone, but I myself would not play those odds.

If I can answer any other questions or be of any help, please just let me know.

How would I get the lab to add nose, etc when the report comes in the next day??
Thank-you for the information!

I did check our reports from our April trip, and there wasn't a source there either.

It is getting frustrating!! hammer

I was just approved yesterday and we had no source listed on our test either.

The lab results form is a template. You can ask them to edit the template so that all future printings of a results report shows that information.

Your April results are an example of the discretion/judgement used by the reviewers, but also that info being missing is a very simple reason for denial.

Same here, two different test dates and both reports were exactly like The_Lurker's...no acceptance issues. A PCR is a PCR....not gonna be taken from your armpit

...and using a test (home BinaxNow with telemed) that is listed as not acceptable has a greater chance of denial. I will stick with the PCR but everyone has their own choice to make

Yes they do, and some people make better choices when they are well informed with accurate information.
