Good to be back home.....meaning BSV. Only disappointment is we are in unit 3 and it’s a longggggggg walk to the pool. My knees are screaming at me!

7am on the beach hubby still sleeping. Met Champ the dog and his owner John who is the manager of Royal Islander. His mother used to be the manager at BSV for the Yolanda Mascarin years ago.

Yesterday we checked out of the Toad late then headed to Be Cool restaurant at Marina Royal, Marigot. Last Saturday we had eaten there last Sat and said we would return next Sat. Good thing because all tables taken except our front row.

We were warmly welcomed. We shared an order of acrass...cod cakes hubby had salmon with goat cheese green veggie mix and frites. He loves the French frites and orders them everywhere, never eats fries at home. And a glass of rose.

I had Dover sole with jasmine rice and the same greens. Hubby says I only order sole to have someone struggle to debone it tableside, not true...well maybe. The owner himself did the honor and it was a superb job. I too had rose and bottled water. Bill was $84.

Checked in at BSV, then to market. Rum and Ting on the lanai until dark.

Rosemary--I'm with you, not wanting that long walk to the pool! Plus the units closest to the pool, you can park your car right in front of the unit, which is helpful with those heavy liquid supplies!! smile I love me some good French frites! Make sure he keeps track of them and let me know which ones he deemed the best! I'm always doing research for our next trip.

Carol from past trips he say O’Plongoir in Marigot still the best. But Be Cool were pretty close. Even I enjoy them.

If you see John and Champ again please send a hello from Renee and Michael.
John used to store our belongings until the last storm took them away.
We always like to take John out to dinner for taking care of us.
