Jet Blue question

Jet Blue question - 04/15/2022 01:11 PM

We have some unusual flights due to the incredible high prices for our origin city, Cincinnati. It leaves us staying a few nights in NYC and departing from Newark on Jet Blue late morning. .

Question is this. We will not have checked bags but need to check in since it is an international flight. Are going to find a long line at Jet Blue just to prove EHAS info or is it a pretty quick situation? I can't imagine a Sunday 11:00 AM flight being a crowded time at the airport but we have zero experience with low cost air travel much less EWR.

FYI, Cincy to SXM was about $1200. By mixing and matching our cost is about $700 so our two night stay in NY is free.

pcu,

We flew JB earlier this week out of EWR - a first for us. ( I hate the drive from CT to JFK and thought this might be a better ride…..) the trip to the airport was a piece of cake but EWR itself was not good at all. Idk if this was an extraordinary mess or the norm but it was a real $hit $how, IMHO.

We entered the terminal at the departure level for JB, where the lines were incredibly long - might just as well have been at JFK, and this on an 11:00 am Tuesday flight - to discover we had to take an elevator or escalator up to the third level. The wheelchair we arranged for ‘wasn’t available’ per a JB agent although she did ultimately get one but no wc porter. Three flights up so thank heavens for elevators - two bags plus carry-ons and no porter. But we got there. Oh, and there was no TSA pre- check line, either. There were three International JB flights all departing at almost the same time and the lines were very long. It took us an hour to get through and check our bags. But in the end - here we are! 🙂🙂

Not so sure I’ll take that route again regardless of how much I hate the ride into JFK.

No. Just print or have your boarding passes, go straight to security and when you get to your gate they will verify your information. I never “check in” before security at the counters.
