We need a place for a 2 Night stay at the end of October, probably in the Simpson Bay Area. Suggestions?

Flamingo, Royal Palm, Atrium, Simpson Bay Resort and LaVista are all good choices.

I would suggest Beachside Villas, but that is a very popular time there, so doubt you could get a reservation then. You could try though. After BSV, my number one recommendation would be Mary's Boon. They are on a great beach, have a full restaurant there, and a pool, and Karakter is next door. Otherwise, there are plenty of timeshares you can get online for a couple of days, like LaVista, Flamingo, Royal Palm, Atrium.

What are your priorities? Restaurant on-site, great beach, walking distance to restaurants? How many people?

It’s just my wife and me. We are coming in on Thursday and go to a timeshare on Saturday. We were looking for a place other than a timeshare for those two nights.

All the ones I listed are Timeshare resorts but do rent out 2 day stays. Can you extend your stay in the timeshare you have for the week?

We stay at Travel Inn for those first 2 days of our trip. Very basic but walking distance to restaurants. $99 a night. All taxes and fees included. Make reservations on-line

tbone--still suggest Mary's Boon. They have some budget rooms that are very economical.

We stayed at El Zafiro on Simpson Bay for a few nights while awaiting our reservation at BSV one year and found it to be very pleasant. We reserved directly through Nicole and found her to be very helpful and totally into making things work for us. Her on-site staff went out of their way to accommodate us and did so cheerfully. The beach is great and the drinks are excellent. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again if needs required extra time.

It could only be be better if they had a pool and the restaurant was a little more consistent. We have had mostly very good meals there over all our trips since they opened the restaurant but this recent trip we had one dinner that was perfect and a week later meeting friends there, our dinners were not good. But the thing is, had we just done drinks and apps it would have been a perfect evening in a totally unrushed and lovely setting.

I highly recommend Horny Toad Guest House. RIGHT on the beach, lovely rooms, gated parking if you have a car, delightful innkeepers, very clean rooms. Only eight rooms.

I know you asked for Simpson Bay, but last year, we arrived two days early, and thoroughly enjoyed staying at Grand Case Beach Club. The resort is beautiful, right on the beach, and walking into Grand Case for dinner was great. Just a thought...

try the Azure Boutique Hotel (not a hotel in the traditional sense but more like 6 rooms spread out on one level).

I should say Marys Boon Beach Hotel on Simpson Bay. To us its a gem of a real Caribbean Style hotel , Restaurant and Beach Bar. Lots of fun, great staff , pretty property and a nice room for about every budget. A few other properties on that beach but smaller and not as much to offer....we have tried other but always go back to THE Boon when you can get in. It you don't stay there try to go by and walk around the property maybe for the next time.

We do this about every trip, and that has allowed us to have spent nights in around a lot of different places on island. My suggestion is to splurge a bit or try something out of your normal routine. If you haven't stayed in Grand Case, try it. My favorite area for extra nights and if we didn't arrive early about every year we might not have tried it. Live it up, it's only two nights.
