Today we arrived in beautiful SXM on the American flight out of Charlotte.
We spent the night at the Boston Logan Airport Hilton, waking at 4 a.m. At about the same time, Marc received an email from American Airlines stating that our 8 a.m flight was delayed by almost 2 hours, so we were going to miss our connecting flight in Charlotte. After a somewhat lengthy phone call, we were able to book seats on the 7:00 flight. Thank goodness we overnighted in Boston! Both flights were fine, and we landed a little early. We breezed through the airport in no time.
Car Rental - SAX, our first time booking with them. The car was supposed to be at the airport, but it wasn't. A little disappointing, but no big deal. SAX kindly offered us an upgrade to make up for the snafu. Nice people.
We shopped for a few grocery essentials at Carrefour Market in Cole Bay.
Checked into Beachside Villas around 4:30 and relaxed a little bit before heading out to an early dinner at Lal's. It's our second stay at BSV, and the A/C in the living area is a wonderful improvement to the rental unit.
Dinner at Lal's was great as usual. Nothing fancy, but delicious and reasonably priced food. We ordered Chicken Frankies as an appetizer, two chicken dishes, rice and garlic naan. Chatted a bit with Lal. Service was friendly and efficient.
We're now back at BSV, and looking forward to what tomorrow brings...
