It is about time.

The island used to be far more beautiful. Any first time visitors to the island would fail to see its beauty amidst all of the wrecks (both ships and cars)

Huge progress was made on the ship wrecks. Very pleasantly noticeable. There are still a few lots with them piled up, but the water so much better.

Love the Island .....but its about time the Dutch side does the same thing. So ugly and dangerous all the old cars sitting about everywhere. Simpson Bay side roads are just full of them. All these Gov eyeballs but seems like they dont see or worse dont care to clean up the roads. Even as you land at the airport you see car junkyard and shacks. Very little effort would make a big difference how tourist see the island. IMO But again some will say thats just part of the charm smile

There were crews working every morning mowing and weedeating the roads - was looking good with all the vegetation and flowers back healthy.

But the funny thing that me and my wife keep noticing in the Simpson Bay Area were the fences and guard rails. If those were repaired, the roads there would look so much better. And not sure most of that damage is just hurricane, looks like there is not an inspection process for fixing them as they are damaged in real time by wrecks or whatever.

The palm tress also, especially in Club O and Village area, seem to have recovered well.
