New Year's Eve - 11/18/2022 03:29 PM
First time being on the island for NYE. Any suggestions?
I’m not sure where you are staying, we spent NYE last year at Wai Plage on Orient Beach and it was a blast!

There is usually a fireworks display in Philipsburg.

Michael and I stayed at Divi for NYE on year. It was nice. We set an alarm to wake up at 11:30 or so. We went out to our porch and could watch the fireworks over Phillipsburg. What a change from being at home for NYE when it is SOOOOOO cold outside!

Posted on TripAdvisor from a press release.
"The displays will take place on January 1st, 2022, at approximately midnight (12:00 am) at the following locations: the Great Bay Boardwalk; Pelican; Simpson Bay Lagoon; Simpson Bay Beach; Maho Beach; and Cupecoy Beach."

Most places have more expensive pre-fixe menus and are probably crowded. Reservation a good idea, if you can shuck oysters the French side grocery stores will have a lot for sale! Will see lots of yachts and private planes, and possibly a lot a traffic.
