Where is a good place to go other than Mary's Boone to watch the Superbowl?

Sunset Beach Bar carried the World Cup when we were there in Dec and I expect that they would carry the Superbowl on their big screens

Carol suggested that people visiting the island for that weekend would be wise to purchase a copy of the Daily Herald during the week before the game. Many bars and other establishments advertise their Super Bowl events in the paper.

IF I were gonna be on the island for that weekend, that's what I would do. I should be so lucky...

Anyway, good suggestion, Carol.

There's a sports bar, Stevez, in Porto Cupecoy that looks like a fun place to watch a game.

We’ve been to a few over the years. Mary’s Boon still seems to have the best and great turnout. Huge Big screen Tv on the beach and lots of other Tvs in the bar and dining room. Lounge chairs on the beach a nice perk. I’m sure you will see ads for others however around the island.

One more suggestion: While driving around SXM the days before the Super Bowl, listen to 91.9 FM. I'm confident that bars will be advertising Super Bowl events on that radio station.

As an aside... While bars and other merchants in the States are required to refer to the Super Bowl as "the big game," or something like that (unless they have a licensing agreement with the NFL), not so on the island! Merchants can get away with using the words "SUPER BOWL" in audio and print advertising! No enforcement!

Hi Carol,

Stevez at Porto Cupecoy has been there for about three years. It had just opened before our last visit in January 2020 when we were staying at Porto Cupecoy.

Wow, OK, not sure how I missed it. Where is it, exactly?

It's on the plaza level where the fountain is, on the left side of the steps going down to the marina. It overlooks the marina. Opposite side of the steps to where Mario's used to be.
