I paid my dues and now I'm not sure if I have someplace to stay. I read in the daily herald that they called an emergency meeting for the minister of tourism to approach timeshare owners. I hope this matter is resolved quickly.

You have already paid your AMF's for 2015 Week 3 ?

Makes me wonder if Manek would put out invoices even though he no longer owns the place.

Very good question. This would be highly unusual if the MFs for 2015 were already billed and paid, without raising suspicion from the owners.
Mine (not at Caravanserail) are generally issued around Dec 15 and due Jan 15.

OK, thanks. I didn't read the paper on Tuesday, so that's probably why I missed it.

TS's that are run well will not have an affect on SXM tourism , just the ones that have problems as they don't offer the weeks use or loose to keep tourists coming. SXM tends to lean more heavily on the cruise ship industry for income. Many argue this BUT where is the SXM money spent for tourism improvements? So the few TS's that have problems will have very little impact on the tourism numbers.

Pretty naïve guy here but about the 2015 maintenance fee being paid. If the check was cashed knowing they were cancelling all timeshare contracts wouldn't that constitute fraud?

How are you and who are you going to get to prosecute this?

Has it been established that some owners received their AMF bill for 2015 and paid it? Someone asked the OP and he didn't answer.
The OP wrote about his dues beind paid but he didn't say what year they were. If his interval is late in the year, he could be talking about his 2014 AMFs for which he hasn't occupied his unit yet.

I thought I 'owned' Week 1 Penthouse - but have not received a AMF bill or paid any for 2015. I typically will pay when I'm on site. . . I don't like the bullying tactic of Alegria - but if I pay - do I have still have a reservation for my unit?
