Actually I am serious. We'll see how this plays out.

In my opinion there are limited places in the TS business who would on SXM use the MF's as a pay back on investment vs spend on up grading the place.

It seems rather obvious that Mr.Sidhom is only interested in a quick return on his investment. If he was interested in anything else he wouldn't have come out so provocatively and asked us to sign away our rights. He is obviously motivated only by greed and looking at this as a perfect chance to make major profit by burning off the TS owners and starting with a clean slate. Well this is not a good way to build relationships.....not that he is interested in that! Sometimes you just have to stand your ground when someone tries to take away whats rightfully yours! We must keep up the good fight!

So, I just got word yesterday that we are on our own when we get to St.Maarten in December for our week at Caravanserai, This comes from RCI. They moved people for the first couple weeks to different resorts but after that nothing can be done. So we have paid our airfare and we have our car rental secured. Does anyone know where you can buy a good tent on St.Maarten? And where's the best place to camp? What an utter disappointment!

OK. Someone on another site had the week of December 6th available for rent. Have you looked at Sint Maarten Rental Weeks?

Just to be clear--you are an RCI member--not a t/s owner at Caravanseri--is that correct? Did you check the list of t/s rental sites in the FAQ?

Has there been any feedback from an "owner" trying to use their week vs someone trying to trade in using RCI/II ?

I heard from an owner that he could use his unit if he signed the letter and paid his maintenance fee again (he had already paid it at the beginning of the year when it was due).

So what did they choose and were they able to stay?

Right, that was the deal, they could pay again for 2014, even if they had already paid, sign the letter, and could stay their week. I wonder at this point whether they would let people just pay--again--for 2014 weeks and stay without signing the letter. As people are going to have a very hard time finding someplace else to stay for the remainder of this year..

They chose to stay elsewhere.
