Here is a link to the jewelry stores that are available.

Also, there are some small art and boutique stores that also sell locally crafted jewelry like Pure Art and Carey's Black Coral Clinic, along with the renowned(?) Passman Gallery

It is not legal to harvest living coral of any kind in Cayman waters. It is legal to sell jewelry pieces though.

OK, is it legal to bring it back into the US?? I have a couple of necklaces I bought a LONG time ago, but somehow I thought it was not legal to bring it into the states any more.

It is legal to bring into the US with a proper permit/documentation that the vendor needs to supply.

thanks for the info. Are there local vendors that walk the beaches to sell their wares?

No beach peddlers in Cayman. There is a small local craft mart that sets up in a plaza near the cruise terminal when ships are in port
