St. Lucia to Martinque sailing?? - 02/02/2016 01:32 AM

Beginning of April me and a couple of buddies sailing Moorings in Marigot Bay to Martinque. We have done a number of trips south but never headed North. Can someone provide us with a potential itinerary or potential anchorages/must sees. Also are there moorings in the anchorages or should we just be prepared to anchor?
Any info on this trip would be greatly appreciated

We spent a very enjoyable time anchored in Anse d'Arlet on our way south. Very pretty spot, great beach and very nice restaurants. Small shops for limited provisions an easy walk. North side of the anchorage was calmer, good holding, most balls were private.

Grand Anse D'Lane, Petit Grand Anse, Grand Anse, Anse Mitan and St. Pierre are all good anchorages. If there are any unused mooring balls in Petit Grand Anse or Grand Anse you can use them. All mooring balls are free and put in by the government in the mooring field. There is anchoring in the middle of Grand Anse if all the mooring balls are full.

Le Marin will be swell free. St. Anne is a favorite for cruisers and has many restaurants ashore (and a good place to check in or out of Martinique).

Have a great trip.

How was your trip? We're heading to St. Lucia in July and will be heading North to Martinique as well.
