WE stayed here about 4 years ago. It was very quiet then. Very nice. You can walk to the Gap. The side roads where you walk were not the best but still do able. The best burger we ever had was at the local outdoor BBQ at the GAP. We loved Barbados. We had a rental car so we did get to drive around the island. I hope to return someday..

Hi there, only just saw this subject.

Coral Sands is the best kept secret on our island and a place that I have been promoting to couples coming here for many years.

This little family run hotel is located on the only natural lagoon in Barbados where one can feed turtles in waist deep water or at low tide walk out to the surrounding reef without having to swim.

You will find two beach bars in close proximity "Crystal Waters" and "Carib Beach Bar" both which are low keyed and very laid back.

The beach it's self is very quite (except on Sundays) as one of the large hotels located there closed a few years ago. On Sundays, both bars have live entertainment that draws their "regular crowds". You may opt for shady areas if you want to relax or rent chairs from the notorious "Spock" or "Richard". You should not encounter harassment here as vendors opt for the more crowded beaches and the two mentioned persons above will keep an out …as usual.

Though the hotel is located approximately 1/2 mile from the popular and sometimes noisy St. Lawrence Gap you can find small restaurants or supermarkets just 2 minutes walk away.

It is also located in a cul-de-sac therefore noise pollution from the highway is minimal.

If you see a bald head tattooed “red guy” with a cooler and on the beach (weekends or ALL August) in front tanning please come over, introduce yourself to me and you will be treated to the now famous Ambassadors Brew as my welcome to our BEAUTIFUL ISLAND.
