Sorry, the pictures aren't the best quality, as I had to really 'smash' them to make the file size small enough to upload..

Sorry, Carol. They were taken with my iPad and I never quite know what I'm going to end up with until I get inside and can actually see them in normal lighting. The day was long but our guide was good and our group was congenial so it made the experience a nice one. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

No, sorry, I didn't mean the original pictures weren't very good. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Blush.gif" alt="" /> What I meant is that I uploaded them here on TTOL in the photo forum, which requires them to be reduced in size quite a lot, so it degraded the quality of the picture when I reduced the size of it.

Pat, they look great - Carol, thanks for uploading. Pat, I hope you saw the volcano fields, the surfers, and some of the nice beaches around Kanapaali. Maui is one of my favorite places.

We did the deluxe all-day RtoH trip so we basically saw anything and everything along the way - from beaches to volcanoes to the homes of a few famous part-time Islanders. Tried to absorb A LOT of island history and some of it folklore. At least I now know what menahunies (sp?) are - the equivalent of leprechauns but more inclined to misbehaving. As we were being told the story I was enjoying the lore (history?) of the Hawaiian 'little people' and I will tolerate no comments from my grandchildren on this subject. The trip was 8.5 hours so a very long but fact-filled and interesting day.

We did see some surfers and even some turtles coming ashore along the way. A very good trip....... <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

Sounds fabulous and brings back great memories, thanks for making me smile.
Enjoy your trip, I know it is a sacrifice for you East Coasters, and we take it for granted.
