We always stayed at one of the many boutique hotels in south beach (ocean drive) It has been a while since we have been there so things may have changed. But for us, south beach was one of the most exciting, sensuous 20 blocks of real estate in the country. About a 20 minute drive to haulover from south beach.

We were just at Haulover this past July & stayed at Residence Inn Miami Aventura Mall - it was about a 5 mile drive to Haulover from the hotel - the hotel rate was reasonable, included a very nice breakfast, rooms were very clean, location was great - when we return to Haulover in the future, we would stay at this hotel again.

Daddy O's. We'll be on the Bare Necessities cruise in February and the hotel is almost totally booked by cruisers. We'll be at Haulover Beach which is not far away, for at least a day.

I thought i had replied that the closest accomodations were the TRXXP Towers.

Maybe that got deleted as political as it wasnt. It is in fact the only walking distance accomodations.

3/10 of mile or 6 min walk from tower 3 on sidewalk or much less if you walk the beach.

We generally stay at the Surfside Marriott which is about 10 min south.

There are a wealth of options available.

We are returning this weekend and are trying a new Marriott property in Adventura which is @ 15-20 min away.
