Florida - 04/24/2013 02:26 AM

We will be travelling to Florida in mid-May for 1-1/2 weeks. We have been to Esmeralda Resort on Orient Beach where my wife has used the semi private pools nude. We also would walk the 2-1/2 miles round trip on the beach twice a day (she with her suit on).

I would like to talk her into trying a nude resort or beach. She would not want to be nude around a lot of others so I'm thinking like a Monday - Thursday rather than the weekend. The place would need to have a nice pool and a place for long walks so we had something to do to break up the day. What do you recommend?

Also I'm considering a C/O beach. We were probably not going to go as far south as Haulover. Is Playalinda and Apollo still C/O? How far do you have to walk to get to them?

Thanks for your help.

Caliente Resort north of Tampa in Land O Lakes may be an option. Usually not crowded during the week and quiet. Has a large pool area and walking trails throughout the grounds. Haven't been there since they lost their AANR affiliation due to hosting swinger themed events on certain weekends. Here's the website Caliente Resort Tampa

Playalinda is officially clothing optional on the extreme north end( parking lot 12). The "Nudity Prohibited" signs have been taken down. It is just a beach with no services. On weekends the lot may fill early, requiring you to park in a lower number lot and walk.

You may want to consider Cypress Cove in Kissimmee near Orlando. There are a couple of good sized pools and it should be quiet during the week. Also, it is closer to Playalinda Beach than Caliente.

You might also want to consider Fawlty Towers in Cocoa Beach. It used to be a textile motel, but has been converted into an AANR endorsed au natural Motel. It has a small private pool. I have never been but have friends who went there and liked it. It would also be even closer to Playalinda Beach.

You can learn more about both of these locations at their web sites.

DSSS again.
Thanks for everyones' suggestions. Somehow I forgot to mention that we will be traveling in a motorhome. From internet aerial photos it looks like Caliente isn't RV friendly. The RV's in the photo all look like they are squeezed in a parking lot. Cypress Cove looks very nice though. I liked Paradise Pines RV Resort that I saw on an earlier post; however, it is very small. Going for a 2 mile walk would be out of the question. Does anyone have any other suggestions since we will be in a motorhome?

We are at Cypress Cove at this moment. The campground is one of the best we have ever occupied c/o or not. They have good clean 15, 30, 50 amp power, water, sewer, electric, wifi and cable. The grounds are well maintained with paved roads. Some features are two pools, activities every weekend, par 3 golf course, tennis, pickleball, petangue, golf cart rentals and more. The two restaurants serve adult beverages and both pools are heated.
Certainly you know all the stuff there is to do in Orlando. Cypress Cove comes highly recommended.

I would do Cypress as well. You can be left alone to some extent. There are people there of course, otherwise I'd suggest a private home.

Playalinda is a bit of a pain unless you found an RV park nearby. Quite a little drive from there to anywhere really - Titusville?? Fawlty Towers doesn't help with your RV and is right next to the Peep Show Emporium --- that sealed that joint off our list unfortunately. Sunnier palms near Ft Pierce is very private.

I'D GO CYPRESS COVE and ask em for a lot with some empty spots if there are any to give you space.

Caliente is borderline swinger joint.

If you are going to be in the Land O Lakes area with an RV go to The Woods RV resort its right next to Caliente, very quiet, and a beautiful place to stay. Two pools and a hot tub. Great friendly upscale people.Oh yeah it's a clothing optional RV resort.

I would highly recommend Cypress Cove. We spent 2 months at an RV park right next door to it. "Merry D RV Resort" It is one light from CC or can easily walk it in less than 10 minutes. Merry D does not have any frills but the sites are huge and clean showers/restrooms. What we liked most was the proxmity to CC. Feel free to contact for additional details.

I have looked at The Woods RV Resort web site and it looks like a very nice place. Is it a life stylers resort?

It has AANR on its website, so I hope not.
