Is AANR best or other choice?

Is AANR best or other choice? - 12/20/2013 08:24 PM

We will be booking another stay at Club O through Jim Ruos for Oct 2014. We want to take advantage of the 10% discount for belonging to a nude organiztion, and was wondering if there are any advantages of one over the other?? We used to belong to AANR, and was thinking about renewing with them, but would like to hear if anyone had any other suggestions.

Thanks <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Banana.gif" alt="" />

Hi. I think that your question is which nude organization is the best choice in general for you to join? As I believe the discount is the same for all nude organizations.

Thanks Carol. I guess what I meant was are there any advantages being a member of one over any other, aside from the Club O dicount. I'm not sure how many different organizations there are, or how they compare in price for membership, etc.
Also- question for Carol- Are any of the Organizations a Sponsor of this Forum??

Hi. I moved this here, as it really is a general nude question, versus just about Club O. None of the national organizations are TTOL sponsors, no. Jim Ruos at Caribbean Islands Travel Service is though.

With regard to other advantages of the various organizations, I know they have some travel discounts, etc, but don't know how they compare. Hopefully someone else will know.

Thanks again Carol. I know CITS is a sponsor. We have always used him- His services can't be beat <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Thumbsup.gif" alt="" />

AANR and The Naturist Society are the principle nudist organizations in the US. Membership in either is worthwhile (we belong to both- CHEAP for supporting our cause!) and will get you discounts at almost all the major clubs in the US as well as Club O. AANR has a monthly news letter, TNS a quarterly magazine with lots of good articles and photos.

We belong to both. They do good work and need our support.

Here is one more: YNA (Young Naturists America) <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Banana.gif" alt="" />

http://youngnaturistsamerica.com/

Hosts events, informative articles and reviews of nudist places

Our club also offers discount to YNA members as well as TNS and AANR

AANR is the primary in my view. They have things running pretty well although I get the impression they need more and younger members. So put your dollars where your birthday suit is and join one primarily for sanctioning genuine clubs/resorts and for lobbying efforts on laws/rights.

Having belonged to both, we found that the main difference is on focus:

AANR cares about both landed resorts, clubs, and venues and the free use of public lands, but focuses on the former.

TNS cares about both landed resorts, clubs, and venues and the free use of public lands, but focuses on the latter.

Both are excelent organizations, both are vital in protecting our ability to protect nude recreation.

If you can afford to belong to both, please do so!

If not, support the one focused more on your primary interest...

If your primary reason is to save the 10% then go with TNS since it is less expensive. You save more at Club O than you will spend for membership. We just signed up for two more years even though we have not solidified plans for this summer.
