We went to Casa Banda over Thanksgiving 2013. This was an amazing place to stay. We went as a group of 12. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the view was spectacular. Arne & Bibi were very informative and knowledgable about the area. Getting there was not nearly as hard as anticipated. There were some dirt roads, but other the last few miles, we're easily traveled. Some of our group rented 4 -wheelers, some went zip lining, went to near-by beaches, nature walks, or just hung out at the gorgeous pool there. This was a wonderful adventuresome vacation. Would recommend that you take sturdy shoes.

I love this place…here is my trip report after our first visit... Trip Report of COCR we're going back in to stay for two weeks in late February. N magazine had a really nice review..I can't remember the issue but I'm sure it's available on line. This is such a nice place in a great area of Costa Rica. I am so looking forward to visiting again!

Almost done with our first week...was hoping to post some day by day pictures as we went along but that doesn't seem to be an option on this site. If there's a way to post pictures within a post like this, help me out.

Meanwhile...I'll post a trip report when we get home sometime after the second week of March. But...just let me say that the morning walks on the beach are among the best we've taken and the sunsets from our room are as good as I've ever seen....every single day...Casa Banda and the people here are as awesome as the first time we stayed here and we're thrilled we decided to come back. Tomorrow we'll complete week one and rent a car and venture out. Have some favorite spots we'd like to revisit from 2 years ago and new ones we've heard about...more later.

As far as posting pictures, if the picture is already online somewhere, just use the "image" tag. If not, you have to upload it somewhere and then use the image tag, to be able to post within a note.
