I would chill out, get a room and take a morning ferry. Unless you have something already booked in BVI

No morning ferry from SJU, Ev

They can fly to STT in the morning on Jet Blue and THEN take a ferry.

Why not the 7:58 on Cape Air??? Is it not operating that day?

Yes, CapeAir is an option. But we didn't want to pay $300 one way for each of us.

" But we didn't want to pay $300 one way for each of us."
Was just looking at Cape Air, just a little over $600 RT SJU/EIS. Sure makes my EWR/SJU/EIS tix at $495 look like a real bargain.

Did you try VIAirlink? I looked at their website(pretty much worthless) but I thought they had a flight between SJU and EIS. Might be worth giving them a call.

We may yet end up overnighting in SJU and taking the $65 JetBlue flight Friday morning - can I just tell you how ticked off I am that United just decided "hey, you know...I think we'll just stop running EWR-STT during the week in May..."

I've noticed United has been ending their daily seasonal direct flights EWR/STT earlier and starting service later in the season, almost mid November.

Just called the Premiere desk and changed our flight - we now land SJU at 2:05p...plenty of time to make the 5:25pm Seaborne flight - cheaper than Cape Air so we can just hang out and drink some cold ones at the airport Margaritaville United and Seaborne are both Terminal D - BONUS!

Amazing! Do share how you accomplished this! Sorry if you've already explained and I missed it...

Check airline prices every Tuesday/Wednesday...that's typically when they post great deals.

Yesterday, United had LAX/SJU for $227 one way - that's why I was able to switch our mileage flight so easily. Now instead of LAX/IAD/SJU with a FOUR HOUR layover in Houston? We have LAX/ORD/SJU with under two hours in Chicago. I am a happy camper.

Thanks! Ppl have suggested about 6 months out before, does that still sound about right?

On the Tues/Weds thing, does time of day seem to matter?

Does airline tend to matter? For us, we're almost definitely looking at SW BWI-SJU direct. I'm not thinking that their fares vary as much as some of the more conventional carriers. In my experience, it's generally been best to simply book with them as early as possible. Anyone have different experience?

Thanks again and sorry for thread-jacking once again...

With SW, I just start checking them as soon as they post fares - usually 6 months out -- and then I keep checking. They also send out email frequently, announcing specials, etc.
