I hope so. Pretty much the entire Caribbean is parched. The area could use a SMALL tropical storm..

It looks like the BVI will get a few showers but the real rain is going up the Mona Passage and western PR.

Looks like next week may produce a few showers as well.

Funny you would mention a "small tropical storm". I was just saying the same thing to my wife this morning after a good hike on St. Thomas. We were here for one of those last year and it did the trick with no real damage. Damn dry now though.

I'm fine with Monday Tuesday rain. We arrive Thursday, looks to be good for a few days after we get there. Don't mind the occasional showers, it just rinses off the salt!!

Re: Rain - 07/24/2015 01:36 PM

Forecasts called for heavy rains and thunderstorms this past Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, but, alas, it rained for all of about three minutes on Tuesday around 9PM (no joke - was outside having dinner with friends and we grabbed our drinks and plates of food to head indoors, but didn't even make it to doorway before the rain halted!). Rainclouds are attracted to moisture and this island is dry as a bone, so on an almost daily basis I gaze out my window toward Cooper, Peter and Norman island and I see the dark clouds dumping rain over the sea (moisture!). GRRRRR! In fact, I saw no less than 8 water trucks on Tuesday during my drive from Nanny Cay just into town!! Cisterns are empty all over the island!
