Airline changed flight AGAIN

Airline changed flight AGAIN - 10/27/2015 03:51 PM

Every 6 weeks it seems they change one of my flights or another.

this one is only a good one as they allow only 2 hours 40 minutes between flights. We arrive at San Juan at 10:15 from Beef island and leave San Juan to Chicago at 12:55. (then onto Canada) Is this enuf time to get thru security etc. I'm only concerned because of our international flight and the time to go thru international security.

What day of the week are you traveling? We went thru SJU this past Saturday and it was a zoo. We were talking to the security guy there and he said Sundays are so much worse. We did make our connection with no problem but we had first class tickets and went to the head of the line.

Are you booked on one passenger record or is the leg from beef island booked separately?

Could only book it with Beef island separately. (out of Canada)

If you have no checked bags you should be fine. With checked bags you will have to hurry but possible.

He will have to check in at the counter in SJU though, since it's two separeate tickets??

A porter helped us save a lot of time last time we had to connect with luggage (as in we were travelling on two separate tickets, not the same record).

Something I have noticed at SJU is the security lines can vary between location. Last time we came in at the A area (by taxi) and it was a zoo, we walked all the way up to D (to check our bags) and that security area was nearly empty. (not that this would be a good strategy if pressed for time)

Yes, we have noticed that at SJU also, hard to guage which security areas will be busier ahead of time though.

Big boat cruise traffic thru SJU is VERY heavy on Saturday & Sunday. Imagine 2-3 boats discharging 2000 passengers/each, most heading to the airport late morning/early pm. Did that once: gridlock.
