Trip report 4- JVD- Norman - 04/10/2016 11:21 AM

Oh boy the beach is lined with lounge chairs...I guess we timed our visit just right...would learn later that 2 cruise ships are in Road Town. although this May be great for tourism and the local economy glad we didn't have to tour Tortola, with thousands of extra folks, the day before. Off we go from the ball JVD bound. the weather is again spectacular .

We try to balance exciting spots with night life with more secluded quiet stops so next up is Little Harbour . All secure in no time after a great sail .

[Linked Image]

In first to go for a little hike and stretch our lazy muscles.

Then it's into shore for some peace and love. the lovely ladies of Sydney's are in the house . Strawberry, Janet and Rina were happy for the company. The honour bar was calling my name so had our first beer of the day and did a bit of shopping . great little gift shop. The boys decide it would be a great place to do a little work on the dinghy. with permission we bring it ashore, take off the motor and proceed to clean up the bottom. ...Dinghy is only 4 months old and already furry ..all of a sudden this local guy Bassano shows up with exactly what we needed...a big jug of Clorox and a scrub brush...scrub scrub and scrub ..and the bottom is like new again....a nice monitory thank you and a beer was in order . ..

we will bottom paint during haul out to keep it in good shape .

Ok work of the day done...let's patron the honour bar some more.....OH my they have goslings and ginger beer

[Linked Image]

...what to do?

[Linked Image]

Decided on some lunch...I had the fish and chips...fresh snapper in home made batter...soooo good
Relaxed some on the beach and ran into some folks who apparently know me from TTOL. are you Kim ...so neat...if you are watching this is the pic I took of you .

What a great way to spend the afternoon relaxing in this magical peaceful place .
Back aboard and ready up for a beautiful BBQ aboard...wonderful evening again solving all the problems of the world under the twinkling stars with some yummy red

Relaxed morning and another stroll up over the hill. great views and felt so good,to stretch. Cheese burgers in paradise aboard for lunch then quick motor over to Great Harbour ...Ashore to explore and find Foxy for a chat.

...he was in the house and kept our newbies entertained with his stories...it is SOOO pretty in here

We decided on a smaller establishment for a beverage ....

The view was awesome....always love the shadows of the palms .

another relaxed evening and BBQ aboard and early to bed...rarely get to see midnight down here.

Good morning Garret Harbour..

.off shortly heading for treasure Island. Quick stop at Sopers for water then off again...soon we are secure in the bight in time for a nice snorkel of the caves...oh my it was busy . a couple tour boats ....OK there is the whistle ...time to leave ..great afternoon light and lots of marine life...the newbies were happy happy .
Let's go in for"happy hour. Jessie looked right after us and kept the painkillers flowing as,we lounged on the beach chairs and marvelled at the sunset . This spot rivals CGB and Cooper ....not sure which one is my favourite .

Upon departure we see these two young lads asking for anyone who maybe going to Willy T - they need a lift. come to find out they are fellow Canadians sailing with their parents...they are in Brenures bay and they took a cab over in hopes of getting a ride out to the Willy...well they told the right folks their story...hop a aboard..spent a few hours enjoying the Willy T shenanigans. against my better judgement we left and went back to Reef Song. Quiet evening aboard- darn it !

Up early and in for a stroll to the heli pad...another gorgeous day in paradise

Kim, great reports and photos! BTW, I particularly like the photo of your Goslings/Ginger Beer...the piece of drift wood that's in the background was found by my daughter Sydney deep in the mangroves heading to the bubbly pool! Hope you don't mind if I copy that and send it to her! Cheers!
