Sorry in advance if this has been covered. Is Smith's or RTFF more reliable?
We have crew coming from St Thomas early on a Sat AM and they need the first ferry to Road Town. I see TripAdvisor gives RTFF the nod, but not sure what this group thinks.

Definitely RTFF.

Never had a major issue with RTFF, but did spend a couple hours limping across on Smith's one afternoon - engine issues. Seems to be a common deal.

In general RTFF is better, but especially in season when M/V Provincetown comes down from MA (along with a US crew).

I believe that the ferry does have a local captain.
RTFF is in general well run. Don't like their luggage policy however.
