catching the boat from a different place.... - 06/14/2016 12:28 AM

We originally thought we were meeting our boat in road town, today we were advised we will be picking it up in FatHog Bay.
Should we still stop and provision at the rite way in Road Town? Selection available and pricing(of course) is important. Still buy liquor in road town or does FatHog bay have a similar store?

We will be flying in to STT and ferrying to FatHog bay. Any faster/better suggestion?

Coming from STT your still going to land at Road Town. A taxi is going to take you past Riteway so if your in a hurry ask them to stop.

We chartered out of FAT HOG BAY a few years ago and they had a new grocery store there. Had everything we were looking for.

There is a Riteway in Fat Hogs Bay. It is not as good as the one in Pasea (outskirts of Roadtown) but pretty good. We have provisioned from there quite happily for the past five years. Nowadays you can get most things in BVI, not as good as UK stores but acceptable. (Dont know what is acceptable in US, but presumably much the same). You just have to base what you are going to eat around what you can buy. Fun, if occasionally challenging. Things have improved considerably over the past ten years or so in BVI. An open mind when shopping is the most important item on your list. Get your alcohol in advance, delivered from Carribean Cellars.
