If you're planning to be around Dec. 14, you may want to take this into account: the government expects 12,000 cruise shippers on Tortola on Dec. 14. One assumes lots of those folks will head to the Baths, JVD, etc., so plan accordingly.

We'll be happily ensconced on Great Camanoe. Anyone want to visit?

Don't be picky. You can see Sept. and Oct.! Obviously they have access to the information, even if we can't see it to plan our trips.

What function does the agent perform? Or is this a way for a local to make bucks?

Looks pretty busy at the end of the year too. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Yikes.gif" alt="" /> I'd definitely be avoiding a few spots with those numbers!

The port agents handle all the shipboard booked excursions. They get a piece of the action for aranging the tour busses, excursion ferries, swim with the dolphins etc. That is why Romnys built the bar in Great Harbor, Peter and want to put a big dock in front of their property at the west end of White Bay, JVD.

They also handle any provisioning required while in port and dealing with the ports authority.

It is rather funny to watch the flow of passengers throughout the day at the pier park. It is like the tide. They flow out around 10AM then back in at noon and out again around 2.
