Beware: the BVI fun police

Beware: the BVI fun police - 01/29/2017 10:19 PM

I'm starting a petition to get President Trump to build a wall around the BVI to keep out the dreaded BVI "Fun Police". These people get on your charter boat with one mission in mind: Police your attempts at fun! Their main goal is to spend 24/7 on the beach and for everyone to stay out of their way. They are easy to identify by the following statements they make:
1- Why can't we put that stupid sail down, start the motor and head directly to the island?
2- While in the mooring field, they make the following statement. "Put down the binoculars. There isn't anything you need to be looking at with the binoculars!"
3- Do you have to fart every time you pee?
4- Can you please slow this dinghy down? You're getting my bottom wet!
5- Why can't "we" have a boat with AC?

Please assist me in constructing a list of other tell tale statements. Together, we can deter such activity.

Can't wait to watch this post grow!

My contributions would come from the Admiral.
- In a mono, screaming my name every time the boat heels for the first two days, until she get's used to it again, happens every trip.
- Telling me to "Be Careful" whenever I leave the cockpit

That's all, after a few days and some painkillers she's no longer the Fun Police smile

Well, I'm all for dumping the sail. Who needs canvas when you have diesels?

"How much further do we have to sail"

To which I answer "I don't know. Depends on the wind and how much you complain."

"Do we have to tack again?"
To which I answer "I guess we don't have to - we can hit the rocks instead."

When we run the AC with the thermostat set at 78 I hear "It was too cold last night". When I run the thermostat at 80 I hear "I was too hot last night". Good grief!

How about "who used all the water?".
Pretty sure it was the person speaking.

Yea... that's a good one. I've heard that one. And similar: "Are there sharks here"?

"Do we have to listen to music all of the time!" Then would lay right in front of the speaker.

The "Oh no! fish in the water" thing is sooooooo funny.

My partner's wife wouldn't go swimming because she spotted a barracuda swimming around the boat. I exclaimed "There is?" and jumped in to look at it.
