Trellis Bay Full Moon Party

Trellis Bay Full Moon Party - 02/22/2017 01:26 AM

It turns out we will be on the boat for the weekend of the full moon in March. Any advice on when we'd need to get to Trellis on that Saturday to get a mooring? It sounds like a bucket-list experience.

Thanks!

We were there for the full moon in February before noon and all the moorings were taken or reserved. First I have ever heard about reserving a mooring pin. We anchored in the northeastern end of the bay. You may want to call the Last Resort to check on reserving a mooring.
It was the best full moon party we have been to in the last 10 years. Every bar had a band or DJ everything from SOCA to top Forty.

Arrive early and explore by land or dinghy. If the water is calm enough, marina cay is not far. There is reasonable snorkeling over there.

We were there for the Feb 10th party. All of the moorings in Trellis Bay were spoken for by 11:15 am. We picked up a mooring at Marina Cay. By noon all of the moorings there were full too. We tried to ride the Scrub Island/Marina Cay/Trellis Bay ferry over for the party, but it was full. Ended up taking our two dinghies across the channel. Great party and awesome ~25 foot tall new burning man.

We were faced with this same issue for a June FMP. We decided to take a slip at Scrub and ride the free taxi to Trellis. Last one back at 11:30pm.
