Can anyone recommend a good rental car operation to rent a SUV (something to try to fit 3 adults, 3 kids and luggage into) for 4 days?

Please consider Jerry's Car Rental, a TTOL sponsor.

Rode past Jerry's lot a couple weeks ago. He had a good assortment of vehicles that would fit your requirements. He has always been great to deal with.

We used International in the past because of where we were staying. Have used Jerry's the last few years -- no problems. Great service. Fine vehicles.

We used the National Rental in Road Town in the hotel lobby. Very satisfied with the level of service.

Used Deadman the last two years - very pleased. He would leave the car at EIS for us and then we would leave it at the Moorings the day of our charter.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think since we will be disembarking in Rd town from Moorings and most likely taking the ferry from Rd Town to CA. I will try to find a rental car service in Rd Town. eliminate the taxi cost to west end from Mooring's base.
thanks again all for the suggestions.

Well I guess Jerry's is working on island time. Emailed last week about requirement for 7 passenger seating and 4WD and... no response.
In the meantime booked a guaranteed rate through Hotwire and found a full size SUV rate for Alamo at $98Cn. subsequently called alamo to confirm the type of SUV. Agent responded yes it is, 4WD, great! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" /> - type of SUV? Honda CRV <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />
Pretty sure a Honda CRV won't be able to fit 7 passengers unless it comes with a roof rack and a seat belt! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />
Also does anybody have website information for Deadman's can't seem to find on the ol' www.
thanks

http://www.dedescharters.com/carrentals.htmlIf you only emailed Jerry's once, and didn't get a reply, they may have not gotten it.

Best to simply phone either Jerry or Denzil
Neither are great with email
Both can be trusted to actually be ready with your vehicle when you arrive

To add... years back - it was no big deal for them (certainly Denzil- not sure about Jerry) to meet you at the airport, or in Town, rather than you getting to WestEnd
Now - perhaps times have changed.. but never hurts to ask

The only place I have found a car big enough for our group of 8 is Courtesy Cars. Dodge Caravan, really seats 7, but he thought we could squeeze in 8.
