BVI Airways - 07/05/2017 11:34 PM

Looks like this is all headed down the crapper faster than a drunken 3 am meal at Taco Bell. http://bvinews.com/new/more-money-needed-cow-may-fly-before-bvi-airways/

I still believe they will fly. Too much work, money and effort has been put into this to stop now.

Very hard to unravel at this point. The creation of BVI Airways created a number of local good income jobs that will be almost impossible to replace on Tortola for those families involved. Money can be like heroin. The families and businesses involved are addicted. Will the powers that be give in, settle, or tell the outside owners of BVI Airways to take a walk and operate someplace else? Who are the newly hired and trained flight attendants related and connected to?

Greenhouses, Hospital, medical school, who remembers what else... please don't get me thinking
Great at starting stuff....
Greenhouses - cost $8 million or so, to put up the plastic
Expensive stuff - that plastic sheeting

Launching an airline... far sexier...
I wonder if the same background players are involved?

Oh, I think they probably know a lot more about it than one might imagine. I suspect that a whole lot of money has ended up in just the right pockets, and the people who planned this from the beginning are laughing all the way to the bank.

....and now the business operators/owners of the airline want those non airline business politically imposed costs replaced. Replaced before they fly! Otherwise they run charter operations anywhere except MIA-EIS.

Re: BVI Airways - 07/18/2017 02:27 PM

Thought I would never say this. it is time for the UK government to come in and run the country It is not fair for the people of the BVI to continue in the way it has been governed. It is not fair for folks like me who have invested large amounts of money in the BVI, only to have more and more taxes and nothing given for the increased taxes.
