Brief trip report - 03/24/2018 03:19 PM

3/15-3/22/18
For those on the fence about BVI, hesitate no further, you will have an awesome trip.
First we had great weather the entire week and the 4 days we sailed, it could not have been better. We had a 47 mono that was an Irma survivor and completely rehabbed. It was by far the best charter boat I have ever sailed, clean bottom, new sails, etc.
Folks at Sunsail were just on it. Facility was super clean, well organized and everyone so friendly and willing to help out.
First day we sailed up to Leverick and had a slip. Kudos to Nick and his team, the progress there is remarkable. We made it to the BBQ which was really fresh and plenty of choices. Again everyone in good spirits and so positive given all they have been through. The damage you can see along the coast, pretty incredible.
Next day up to Anegada for 3 days. Repeat the Leverick paragraph, Most places open, beaches in great shape, the beer cold! We ate at Lobster Trap one night for dinner, huge lobster, great meal. Also had lunch at Cow Wreck and Big Bamboo, both places up and running well, good meals, awesome service.
Next down to Great Harbor, JVD. Lots of damage there but recovery is well along, had a few cocktails along the beach, visited Foxy's gift shop, well stacked, but was really hoping Corsairs would be a little further along.
Last night at Norman, Pirate's up and running well, good crowd that night as well.
I know I am repeating what many others have said here, but don't hesitate if you are thinking about a trip to BVI. Lots of positive energy and they need our support.

Sounds like it was a wonderful trip! Thanks for all of the great info. It must have been wonderful to spend 3 days in Anegada. We are hoping Corsairs is open in May. Fingers crossed.
