Want to join a group to sail BVI

Want to join a group to sail BVI - 07/25/2018 09:59 PM

Hi, I've sailed in chartered bareboat monohulls and catamarans before in the Bahamas and BVIs. I'd love to join a group and sail the BVIs again.
Can someone help me find such a thing? I live in Atlanta GA and of course, I'd like to meet any potential travel mates and make sure we are compatible.
I'd really appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks!

Are you set on the BVI's? Opportunities are available to book either a cabin or a single berth to sail in the Grenadines each month December thru March. Great boat and experienced crew, 10 years chartering in the Grenadines. charters start and finish in St. Lucia so easy to get to from Atlanta.
Below is a link to a blog an Australian woman wrote who was on a charter we did in January 2016.

This has nothing to do with the bvi and should be removed by the moderator.

Warren--Sammy doesn't own that boat, just sails with them a lot. I don't think he has any financial interest in that sailing..

Thanks Carol, you are correct, I have no financial interest nor am I related to the owners (but after over 360 days on board in the past 9 years I've probably paid for a few upgrades LOL). I just mentioned it since the OP was asking about booking a berth/cabin rather than a whole boat.

Are you a couple, or just a single?

It’s a nice option for a lot of BVI charterers who sooner or later will want to do the Grenadines.

Dream Yacht Charters has some cabin-only options too!

We did the Dream Yacht by the cabin in June- started in St. Martin and went all through the BVI - it was wonderful. French captain and first mate. Highly recommend.

tango1: I organize sails for individuals, mostly for those I know and referrals. I'm doing my seventh BVI sail in January aboard a Lagoon 52. The first two weeks are full, but I'll likely have room for the week starting January 27. I have friends in Atlanta who have sailed with me, but none yet on this sail (one of the things I love about my trips is that I have people from all over). If you're still looking a month or two from now when I have some of the crew, and this sounds like something in which you'd be interested, we can vet each other then. The cost is $1500 per person, includes just about everything, and there are four single berths at no additional charge. My e-mail is at juno, and I have a FB page describing the trip: Edward's sailing adventures.
