Which water taxi is best - 10/18/2018 03:10 PM
Hello all...looking into Foxy's Water Taxi, Dolphin Water Taxi, Ocean Water Taxi...which one is best to get us from STT to Nanny Cay dock to pick up charter...there's a slight difference in prices but assuming they all provide the same service (taxi to Red Hook, customs clearance, water taxi to nanny cay). Anyone have advice on which is best service and least complicated?

I have only used Foxy's water taxi. They were wonderful to work with, fun to spend time with and always on time. I can not speak to the others, as I have not used any of the other taxi's.

Thanks! They are the least expensive of the three as well so wondered if there was a catch

We had the same experience as Colleen with Foxy's this past June. We booked a couple days in advance for a ride from St. John to the Moorings dock with check in at WE. Smooth as could be, and easy to work with. I think we dealt with Cap't David. Spoiled after that service!

Talked to Foxy's. David was awesome! We're booked with him. Great follow up and service. Thanks everyone, will post how our experience goes!

Just used Foxy’s this week. Worth the price to get a quick check in at the West end and direct drop off at Nanny Cay.

I believe it is $120 per person (minimum of 4 people) plus $45 fee for customs paperwork, so it is $165. per person.

Sorry I should have clarified...there are 4 of us and we were charged $500 for water taxi (one-way), plus $45 per person (one-way) for international processing fees, plus $90 for land taxi (one way). So in total for 4 people round trip everything included is $1,540

Does this include getting from the airport to Red Hook, or is that an additional taxi fee?

In my experience, that is an additional $85 or so.

We have had excellent experiences with Dolphin Water Taxi and they are excellent if you experience flight delays or changes.

I recently read where Dolphin Water Taxi is running a daily service between St Thomas and the BVI with stops at Nanny Cay and the Moorings in Roadtown.....
