Super Bowl BVI

Super Bowl BVI - 01/21/2019 02:46 AM

OK, we have a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan on our upcoming charter. Looks like we will be at Norman or Cooper our last night, which happens to be Super Bowl evening. From those who have been there recently, any update as to whether there may be TV coverage at the restaurants or bars at Norman or Cooper? Life may be miserable if there is not a live broadcastšŸ˜€

Yeah, life will be miserable, as the gd Patriots are in the Super Bowl again, and the Saints were cheated out of the Super Bowl by the refs.

I actually didnā€™t mean to hit the ā€œpostā€ button when I did. While the pain may be less, my fan still will want to see the game if available. So, back to the question....TVs in Norman or Cooper?

The Super Bowl game was on the big screen TV at Pirates on Norman Island when we were there 2 years ago. They added extra chairs and there was a fairly large turnout.

Even as a Panthers fan, the Saints were robbed.

that non call was flat horrendous.....it gave me the feeling that something else was a foot.....but that was my own personal vibe.

However, that was not why the chiefs lost. Their defense did not stop the pats, their offense did not score enough to win, and the last drive of the pats, blew the chiefs away, and the Pats final touch down was a run into the line with the pats offense line blowing the chiefs defense away.
.
All the chiefs had to do to win i, was STOP the pats from scoring. The Chiefs did not do that.

From playing football , not pros,

Here is what it takes to win a football game.

1. Score enough to beat the other team

2. Score enough points to overcome your own mistakes, TURN OVERS, BAD PASSES, DROPPED BALLS, MISSED TACKLES, OR JUST NOT GETTING OFF THE BUS, ETC.

3. Score enough points to beat the refs because they are going to blow calls

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If I remember a few years back...Pats and Seahawks, and the replacement reff the called the interception by the pats, a touchdown for seattle. THAT WAS END GAME FOR THE REPLACEMENT REFS. AND NO SUPER BOWL WIN FOR THE PATS

But, we had to take into consideration the teams performance for the entire game. The offense, the defense, and the special teams.

Mahomes is an excellent and new QB , who is going to continue to get better, and will be winning his share of championships and super bowls.

Also, Brady , after the game, went over to the chiefs locker room, and asked to speak to Mahomes.....they went into a room, and spoke quietly with great respect for each other. Very cool.

Fear not chiefs fans, they will be back, and coming on strong.

Oh, yes, and FIRE THAT REF !

I did see on another site that Leverick Bay was going to have the Super Bowl on a big screen.

I'm sure Leverick would be a great place to watch, but the original poster was asking about Norman or Cooper specifically.
