Things to do - 10/18/2021 09:57 PM

Ok guys we are leaving Atlanta Wednesday morning for 10 days. I'd to give you a list of what we have done to run that by you guys, I don't want to miss anything. All of these travelers are new to the BVI, except Tricia and I, and I really enjoy introducing new people to my favorite place to be. So here we go:

8 fully vaccinated adults
8 negative PCR or Proctored Rapid Antigen test
Flights from ATL to STT
USVI portal approved for all 8
8 ferry tickets from Charlotte Amalie to Road town, prepaid
Outside Covid Insurance for BVI
BVI Hummingbird Registration for Road town Ferry dock
Copies of Passports, Covid test, USVI portal approval, BVI hummingbird registration
Copy of Air travel verification

I think that covers it, let me know if I have forgotten anything.

Make sure everyone packs their proof of vaccination. Couldn’t hurt to make copies.

If have time, order some proctored tests to bring with you. Saves the hassle of getting tested here

thanks Jason, I forgot to list that. We have the originals and copies. We decided to do the Jost Van Dyke testing site.

BVI Hummingbird registration? Haven't heard that term before. Is it the registration process thru BVIGateway for fully vax'd travelers?

It's the registration portal for the test you'll take on arrival. It gathers some basic patient information so when you arrive they can just scan registration code instead of keying all the information while you wait. Only takes about 5 minutes to complete.

What's the "air travel verification"?

The website for the Hummingbird portal at the ferry terminal is http://rtferry.bvi.care/ not https://bvigateway.bviaa.com/

Re: Things to do - 10/30/2021 01:48 PM

This is a great list, thank you for putting it together. For BVI it says negative test, no older than 5 days. Does that include the travel day in or is that day zero like USVI? USVI shows a chart that does not count the travel day to USVI, so it is day 0. Is BVI the same or is the arrival day one of the 5 days? Arriving into BVI on Dec 4th, so test on Nov 29th or need to wait for Nov 30th?

Re: Things to do - 10/30/2021 02:30 PM

Travel day is considered Day 0. Perhaps the only thing that's the same between the USVI and the BVI.

Re: Things to do - 11/07/2021 10:15 PM

Just registered on the Hummingbird site for arrival on the 11th. I missed copying the confirmation code/qr scan. Also, it seemed to be registering me for arrival today (7th). Should I re-register for the actual arrival date or does that not matter? I don't recall seeing anything on the registration form to specify an arrival date.

Yes, it matters. Your code will probably not work on the 11th. Just reregister on your travel day.
