mooring or slip in the USVI - 02/10/2017 02:19 PM

I need to leave my 43' cat in the USVI from March 19th until April 28th. Does anyone know of a good place to leave it?

Try Yacht Haven Grande in Charlotte Amali St Thomas, excellent security.
Or take it to Puerto Del Rey Marina in Fajardo Puerto Rico which also has
excellent security.

YHG will north of $100 a day, interesting suggestion. We had to stay one night and we looked like a dinghy in there.

..or take it to St Maarten, probably cheaper, but not sure on the security issue! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

Independent, Compass Point and some smaller marinas in Benner Bay, Crown Bay. We are in Frenchtown Marina and they also have moorings. AYH and Sapphire are pretty exposed. I would just call them all and see who has a reasonable option. Puerto Del Rey is not a bad option.

Crown Bay's price is $190/day; that's quite a bit more than what I was hoping for. I'll check out the other ones you mentioned.

CYOA charters (Frenchtown Marina) said they had moorings for $30/night but someone had to be onboard to facilitate moving it if needed. I won't have anyone on board so that won't work for me.

Unless you have some legal reason to leave the vessel in the USVI I would look into some BVI locations.

In BVI, with so many boats OUT on charter, some of the smaller charter companies may be happy to accommodate ... Worth a phone call or email (To someone other than the booking office).

No objections to your comment but curious as to why. Cost? Safety? Availability?

Yes - cost safety and availability.

Don't even think about it. Go straight to Puerto Del Rey.
