Current Grocery Status - 10/13/2021 11:36 AM

Preparing for our November charter out of CYOA. What's the status of food and liquor in the stores? Shortages? Prices? Selection? Thanks

I can't predict November inventory, but my wife just returned from a St. Thomas trip last week and mentioned that the several grocery stores she shopped at had the best selections and quantities that she'd seen in a long time. Kind of counterintuitive to the predictions of shortages, but there you go. I guess the boat came in.

Mid-week is the best time to hit the grocery stores. Stocks are lower on the weekends when turnover usually happens. We hit Cost U Less and The Market / Plaza Extra and get everything we need, with possible substitutions. Pueblo near Yacht Haven Grande is okay. Moe's is expensive, but has quality. Pueblo Sub-base near Crown Bay is our last choice of we have wheels, but they renovated the cold section it is a bit better. Friends have recently complained about not being able to get Presidente and Carib in cans.

Cheers, RickG
