I know this has been posted many times butttttttt. We are interested in taking a catamaran to Anguilla to snorkel and swim. We are young 50 year olds with two adult children. Please advise what company you guys liked the best.

We used Aquamania Adventures (Lambada), leaving from Simpson Bay, to go snorkeling at Prickly Pear near Anguilla and we had a wonderful time. It's a whole day trip. Lunch, snacks and drinks are included in the price.

There are other companies offering the same trip but we haven't used them.

Hi. We stay on the French side so we enjoy the convenience of Scoobidoo (Scoobidoo.com) which departs from Anse Marcel and Grand Case. When I can get my husband to go "all the way to the Dutch side" we have also enjoyed Bluebeard (Bluebeardcharters.com) and Eagle tours (sailingSXM.com). We will be back in SXM with 2 of our 3 kids (ages 15 and 17) again March 26 - April 7 (their Spring break) and am also interested to hear of other catamaran options. I'd like to find something new if that is possible! Enjoy! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />

As a 50+ with adult kids, just have to put my 2cents in. We did a day sail to Anguilla and while it was nice, it was also very disappointing. We had already been to Anguilla on our own once so the day sail didn't come close to comparing to that. I would recommend taking the public ferry from Marigot and then going to the beach of your choice. Shoal Bay East has very good snorkeling and swimming. Lots of lunch options. The day sail we did was only actually on Anguilla long enough to have lunch....no swimming time. We were very disappointed as we know how beautiful Anguilla is and we felt like we missed out.

Last Saturday we had a fantastic time on the Funseaker, a smaller catamaran. There were 7 of us (2 seniors, 3 in their forties, and 2 kids (8 and 12). It was beyond terrific. Swam with the turtles, over to Anguilla where the 2 seniors stayed on the boat and the others went to shore for lunch, and then off to more swimming. We could have picked the Funseaker up in Grand Case but because of the seniors, went to Anse Marcel for easy access. The trip was so great we are going to do it again next year.
