What is an economical beach bar on Oreint to vist now that Orange Fever is no more? We have 2 small children so one with a kids type menu would be good also.

It's technically in the Village, not directly on the beach, but Yellow Sub has burgers and fries, rotisserie chicken, ice cream, etc. I don't know precisely about a kids' menu, but they could probably split a burger or a rotisserie chicken order.

Pedros is very good and won't break the bank either. Grilled ribs, hamburgers, grilled chicken etc.

Yes, Pedros has hamburgers if you can call it that. Quite possibly the worst on the island. But their ribs and chicken are good.

Well...considering that Orient has lost a huge percentage of the beach restaurants in the last couple of weeks, the people visiting for the next couple of months surely will be limited to the places to eat. I personally have never had a burger at Pedros.....always have the ribs and have enjoyed them for well over twenty years now. But, people I have gone with have had them and thought they were pretty good. I guess once again...''to each their own''.

Yellow Sub also has pizza.

Wait for it... I'm agreeing with Scubaman again!! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Shocked.gif" alt="" /> Pedro's burgers are terrible, yes, mystery meat. The ribs and chicken are good, although like everywhere else, the prices have gone up in the past couple of years..

We are definitely fans of the ribs and chicken from Pedro's. What is the best deal for chairs and a drink on the beach now?

Re: Recommendation - 06/26/2015 06:26 PM

To me, the best deal has always been Club O, as you can bring your own cooler with drinks and/or food without any hassle. You don't have to be nude there either.

That's a great suggestion about Club O. I thought it was only nude. Are their beach peddlers at Club O? Not a big fan of spending my day saying no.

Re: Recommendation - 06/26/2015 06:44 PM

No, no beach peddlars at Club O.

If you're going to Club O, and I don't know what you term economical, the Perch Bar has burgers, really good hot dogs, chicken, fries, etc., and is reasonably priced. And for drinks, HH from 2:30-3:30 (2 for 1). Wear what you want, or don't want.

Had burger at "Peedros" 10-12 years ago and was sick for 24 hours, never could bring myself or others to return and for the first time ever, I also agree with scuba dude. LOL
