Safe and reliable ATM machine - 05/24/2016 12:01 PM

Since traveler’s checks are a thing of the past and I don’t like to transport a lot of cash, which ATM on the island has the best track record? Where can I buy inexpensive swimming noodles? Thanks

I always use Credit Mutuel in Marigot or Hope Estates. You can withdraw both Dollars and Euros and there is no service charge.

If you are worried about skimmers then use an ATM at a bank. The free standing ones are more likely to get tampered with but, with that said, I have never had an issue with either

We used travelers checks without a problem last month. The casinos will gladly cash them.

We've used credit mutuel at hope estates no problem. Being Canadian getting u.s dollars works for us with the exchange. Noodles are available at the sports place at club o.

We bring our noodles from home. They wrap perfectly around the inside of your suitcase. I also, wrap a few pieces of duck tape around the noodles. Three years now and the tape is on nice and tight.

Another suggestion - and I know people who do this - at the end of the afternoon, there is usually an assortment of noodles, etc. next to the trash cans at Club O. I guess some people would rather leave them than pack them. We buy ours at the local $ store and usually hand them off before leaving.

I have used the WI ATM next to Red Piano for years, never had a problem.

We have also used the WI ATM next to Red Piano for years without a problem. As we are BOA customers, we also use Scotia Bank on the Dutch side because they are affiliates, and therefore neither charges us a fee.

If you are stuck for cash while in Cupecoy use the one next to Le Gourmet Marche in Porto Cupecoy. We have used this one for years without any issues although there is a small fee. Usually there is a security guard in that area as well.
