Best beach walk?

Best beach walk?
Here on my last day of two weeks, I just completed a most spirit-filling walk.
My tops used to be Baie Longue and Baie aux Prunes. I haven't been to them since my husband passed - and due to the lack of amenities (I'm no longer willing to go through the required prep that we did together).
I think my new favorite is Simpson Bay Beach - from El Zafiro past BSV, Karakter, Mary's Boon and far beyond.
As you may guess, I abhor the crowds (a result of living near the Jersey shore, where I can find that in abundance?). Therefore, Orient will never be on my list.
But, I would love to hear your preferences.

My personal favorite is Simpson Bay Beach although I have to admit I'm not much of a beach walker type but my DH is. And at the same time, Mullet was, is, and probably always WILL be my favorite island beach for all things SXM beaching, excluding beach walks. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />

I occasionally go to Mullet, Pat, as I did the other day, and do enjoy it.
I know that many love it there but I have to say that I've never been there w/o having to descend "the wall" in order to enter the water.
When I see pics of a beautiful, flat beach, I wonder how I always seem to have poor timing <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

That is a nice walk. Even when staying at Royal Palm, we will often walk the beach from the bridge to as far as we feel like walking and have gone all the way to BSV and back. You found my favorite, other than perhaps Shoal Bay on Anguilla.

Grand Case would be a nice long walk - no ledge. Also, although not as long as Simpson Bay, Friars Bay and Anse Marcel are nice gentle beaches.

If you walk Orient Bay early in the morning before the cruise ship tourists arrive, it isn't busy/crowded at all. Our fav by far! :-)

Simpson bay beach. No crowds great views. Our favorite. Of cource we really do not venture to French side much, so this is way more convenient... Mullet is a nice walk, but always crowded, or at least in high season...

. i found myself walking grand case today with my headphones plugged in. except for the area in front of rainbow and the 2 places to its right the beach was sparse. i started at rainbow went up to the pier then down to the end. it was nice

I know you have already probably returned, but I would have recommended Long Bay. A quart of cold water and couple of hours to kill, one can have a very nice walk with your only companion being the sea.

Agreed, the early morning Orient walk with the sparse crowd is one of the highlights of our trips! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />
