So, say you have a relatively small island, and say that island is blown up by a hurricane real bad. What do you do with all of the rubbish that is everywhere?
I can imagine you could have crews separating out metal for crushing and recycling, but all the other stuff, where on earth do you put it?

I heard the prime minister on the radio say they would separate into piles for recycle both on/off island.
He definitely wants all the corrugated zinc roofing shredded so it doesnt end up on someones home. Thendutch have send a ship with shredders for that purpose.
He also said they would reuse whatever 2x4 and 2x6. I guess create a used lumber yard.

I know the PM talked about a barge coming in from Aruba that is specifically designed to haul garbage. He said that is where all the storm debris would go.
