JB cancelled our direct flight Saturday, 2/03 and return on Saturday, 3/03/18. When I checked our confirmation, we were automatically confirmed leaving Friday, 2/02 with a return on Friday, 3/02/18. I called to cancel stating that wasn't going to work and received a full refund to my credit card. I mentioned that JB had not notified us of the change by email, text or phone. The JB rep didn't know why. Luckily, I saw mention of this on a Facebook comment and investigated. Others may want to do the same.
We were notified today by Jet Blue that Our non stop flights from SXM to Boston on April 8 were changed to sum to NYC to Boston. I called and cancelled them as I hate to fly through NY. Jet Blue credited us for all charges back to my credit card i used
I've heard from others whose JetBlue flights from BOS have been changed to a connection through JFK. I've flown it a few times, and while it's not preferred, it's not that bad.
For those whose JetBlue flights are changed, double check the dates which you're rebooked for. It doesn't look like JetBlue is flying the JFK-SXM route on Saturdays, or Saturday flights are full, and some have found their flights changed to a Friday, and others have found their flight changed to a Sunday.
Regardless of the hurricane, if they change your flight significantly like that, you are entitled to all your money back.
What have you found out about your house??
I just noticed the date change on the email. I thought it was just a time change. We were on the 1/6/18 flight leaving the island at 4:14. Now on the 1/5 flight leaving at 2 something
Hi Carol, Jet Blue did cancel and refund the monies and points I used to me.
As for our Condo's in SXM; our building was damaged quite a lot but is still standing . That is about all I can say right now.
Just go the email...originally Sunday (1/14) N/S from Bos..now Monday through NY but a Sunday return to BOS through NY on Sunday
I will ask for a refund or credit since we are going to Grand Cayman in May and they have a N/S to there from BOS also
Sorry to hear about the damage to your building. Take care.
